Adam Gilbert

Adam Gilbert, PhD, is a Science Partner at Flagship Pioneering, where he focuses on building innovative scientific platforms and creating first-in-category biotechnology companies targeting areas of high unmet medical need. Adam brings more than 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, most recently from Pfizer, where he held multiple leadership roles including Executive Director and External Accelerator Lead. During his tenure, he led medicinal chemistry and design functions and played a key role in advancing novel modalities such as covalent inhibitors and targeted protein degradation, contributing to multiple approved therapies and vaccine programs. Adam holds a PhD in Chemistry from Columbia University and has authored numerous scientific publications and patents.
