Akihiro Furukawa is Director, Research & Technology Search & Evaluation (Global Business Development) at Daiichi Sankyo. He began his career at Daiichi Sankyo in exploratory chemistry, earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and later completed a visiting scientist appointment at UC Santa Cruz before returning to the company; he also spent time in investment research with Healthcare Innovation Co., Ltd.
